Beyond Toasted

For months I have been patiently waiting (lied not patiently, beyond excited and impatiently waiting) for the newest "trendy" restaurant, centered all around TOAST, to open. New to "lowest Greenville", TOASTED Coffee + Kitchen is situated right by the intersection of Ross and Greenville Avenues, and supplies Dallas with artisanal toast creations. With toasts topped with the traditionally trendy avocado spread all the way to brie and chocolate ganache, this new eatery has flavors for all your picky friends!

After two trips in less than a week, I have gotten to try a whole spectrum of the offered toasts, my favorite had to be the one pictured above. While simple, the ComaToast, consisting of their in house baked bread, butter and cinnamon, was just beyond nostalgic for me, reminding me of something my grandfather used to make for me as an afternoon snack or dessert. The other delicious masterpieces I tried were so amazing; the Don't Get Salty, which consisted of avocado spread, sea salt, black sea salt and pepper and the Avo-Ca-Damn (pictured below), which was rye bread with avocado slices and two different types of Sriracha.

In need of more? Well you are in luck, as they have just launched their additional full menu items, which include soups, all day brunch options and some delicious grilled cheeses, of course on their house made bread! I opted for something a little more protein filled and went with the Beefcake(pictured below); a sandwich made of fresh cooked roast beef and a medley of melted gouda, oaxaca and butter creme cheese. It was melty and phenomenal. Something else offered that I am very excited about is their full bar! With a variety of wines and local brewed beers on tap, I am running back ASAP for their pre mixed and kegged Moscow Mules!

With the food and drinks, you might think, what could make this place any better? Well the ambiance just kicks it up a few more notches! With great 80's jams buzzing in the background, this industrial decorated spot just screams for you to come and have a study session, coffee date or work meeting at it. Succulents, which you know I LOVE, planted in old coffee pots and obscure pots, their logo immortalized in a hand placed puzzle piece wall mural, Edison lightbulbs and a great open patio, goes to show you how detail oriented co-founders Joel Roldan and Bob Sinnot are.

This incredible new eatery, Toasted Coffee and Kitchen, has to be a stop on your tour of great food here in Dallas! I cannot wait to see what the menu grows into come the grand opening!
